Overview
Six days between two continents: Sultanahmet, the Bosphorus, the Grand Bazaar and a day on the Princes’ Islands, with central accommodation.
Istanbul deserves time, so we designed a six-day programme that lets you discover it unhurriedly: imperial monuments, vibrant neighbourhoods, famous Turkish cuisine and the magic of the Bosphorus.
Visit Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Basilica Cistern, cruise the Bosphorus between continents, wander the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar, spend a peaceful day on the car-free Princes’ Islands, then explore colourful Balat and Galata Tower.
Includes flights from Cairo, a selected hotel with breakfast and tours with an Arabic- or English-speaking guide. We advise on visa requirements for your nationality.
Day by day
Fly from Cairo, meet at Istanbul Airport and transfer to the hotel. Free evening on Istiklal Avenue.
Guided tour of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Basilica Cistern, with a traditional Turkish lunch.
Visit Topkapi Palace and its treasures, then the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar, with free time for shopping.
Bosphorus cruise past palaces and fortresses, a visit to Dolmabahçe Palace, then the Asian side in Üsküdar.
Ferry to Büyükada, explore by bicycle or electric cart among wooden mansions, and enjoy a seafood lunch.
Free morning for Galata Tower or Balat, then transfer to the airport.
