Welcome to the website of Golden Scarab for Tourism Investment. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and all requests, inquiries and bookings made through it or through our other communication channels. By using the website or submitting a booking request or inquiry, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Definitions

  • "Company", "we", "us" or "our": Golden Scarab for Tourism Investment, with its office at 17 Street 306, New Maadi, Cairo, Egypt.
  • "Client", "you" or "your": any individual or legal entity using the website, requesting a service or making a booking, including every traveller named on that booking.
  • "Supplier": the third party that actually delivers a service, such as a hotel, serviced-apartment operator, airline, transport or charter company, car-rental company or licensed tour operator.
  • "Service": any service marketed or arranged through us, including hotel stays, apartments, day trips, domestic and outbound programmes, flight booking assistance, transport and charter, and car rental.
  • "Quotation": our written offer setting out the details, price and conditions of a service.
  • "Booking Confirmation": our written notice confirming that a booking has been secured.

2. Nature of Our Role

Golden Scarab is a tourism marketing and hotel management company. We are not a licensed travel agency or tour operator. Our role is to market, arrange and coordinate services between you and the relevant suppliers, acting as an intermediary. Services are delivered by independent suppliers who remain responsible for their performance under their own terms. Bookings of third-party services are subject to those suppliers' terms and conditions, which prevail over these terms where applicable to the service concerned.

3. Quotations and "Price on Request"

Some services are shown on the website with indicative prices, while others are marked "price on request". In that case we will issue a written quotation based on your dates, the number of guests and supplier availability. A quotation is valid only for the period stated in it, remains subject to availability at the time of confirmation, and does not by itself constitute a booking or an obligation to provide the service.

4. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when both of the following have occurred:

  • we have issued a written Booking Confirmation by email or WhatsApp; and
  • the required payment (in full or the stated deposit) has been made and actually received.

Submitting a booking or inquiry form on the website does not create a binding booking. Please check your Booking Confirmation as soon as you receive it and notify us of any error within 48 hours.

5. Prices and Currencies

The Egyptian Pound (EGP) is the base currency for all prices and transactions. Any amounts displayed in a foreign currency are indicative only, provided for convenience, and are not binding; the transaction is calculated in EGP. Prices include only what is expressly stated in the quotation or Booking Confirmation and exclude anything not listed, such as visas, insurance, personal expenses and gratuities, unless stated otherwise. Before confirmation, prices may change due to changes in supplier rates, taxes, government charges or exchange rates.

6. Payments

  • Online payment: online payments are processed by a secure third-party payment gateway. This website never stores or has access to your card details.
  • InstaPay or bank transfer: using the details we send you in writing. Please send proof of transfer.
  • We may require a deposit to secure a booking, with the balance due by the date stated in the Booking Confirmation. If payment is not received on time, we may cancel the booking and apply the cancellation terms.
  • Any bank or transfer charges imposed by your own bank or payment provider are payable by you.

7. Amendments

You may request changes to a booking in writing. Amendments are subject to availability and supplier approval and may involve price differences or supplier fees, plus a reasonable administrative fee that we will notify you of in advance. An amendment is effective only once we confirm it in writing.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy published on this website, and by the supplier conditions communicated in your quotation or Booking Confirmation, which apply where they differ.

9. Traveller Obligations

  • Documents and visas: each traveller is solely responsible for holding a valid passport and any visas, permits or entry documents required. We may offer general guidance as a courtesy, but it does not replace checking with the competent authorities, and we accept no liability for visa refusals or denied travel or entry.
  • Health: travellers must meet the health requirements of the destination and tell us of any special needs that may affect the service.
  • Conduct: travellers must respect local laws and supplier rules. A supplier may refuse service, without refund, to anyone who breaches them.
  • Accurate information: you must provide complete and accurate details and are responsible for the consequences of any error.

10. Supplier Changes and Force Majeure

Suppliers may change their services, for example by rescheduling flights or substituting a hotel of the same or a higher category. We will use reasonable efforts to inform you and offer suitable alternatives. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by force majeure, including natural disasters, epidemics, civil unrest, war, government decisions, airport closures, strikes or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Limitation of Liability

As an intermediary, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, negligence or defaults of suppliers, nor for lost baggage, injury or damage occurring while their services are being delivered. In all cases, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability shall not exceed the fees or amounts actually received by us for the service in dispute, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights under Egyptian law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Complaints

If something is not right during your trip or stay, please inform the supplier and us immediately so that it can be addressed on the spot. Formal complaints should be sent in writing by email within 14 days of the end of the service, together with any supporting evidence. We will review each complaint, coordinate with the supplier concerned and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including texts, designs, logos, trademarks and images owned by us, is protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without our prior written permission. Supplier images and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Privacy

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy published on this website, which forms an integral part of these terms.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time by publishing the revised version on this website. The terms in force at the time a booking is confirmed apply to that booking.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The courts of Cairo shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to them, after the parties have first sought an amicable settlement.
